Stereo matching enhancement using Flash and No-Flash Image Pairs

In this book, we present a novel approach on enhancing stereo matching using Flash and No-Flash Image Pairs.Flash and No-Flash Image Pairs have been studied around the year 2004-2005 for several different purposes. Eisemann and Durand, Petschnigg et al. used it to combine the sharpness of the Flash image with the ambiance of the No-Flash image. While Agrawal et al. used it to detect and remove photog- raphy artifacts and automate the creation of HDR images. We designed a way of using this novel technique to generate, without modifying any camera settings or moving the camera a new set of images in order to help existing stereo matching algorithms.
