Pharmacotherapy for Acute Coronary Syndrome: a Benefit Risk Assessment

Research on the effectiveness and safety outcomes of a range of medications used to treat patients with acute coronary syndrome was conducted using a 5-year data from the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD). The NHIRD contains all claims data for all outpatient and inpatient visits covered by Taiwan’s National Health Insurance program (over 99% of the entire Taiwanese population of approximately 23.7 million people). Subsets of the database are provided to scientists in Taiwan for research purposes.
