Concrete bridges are vulnerable to various types of damage during their service lives. Assessing the health condition and detecting any possible damage that might have occurred to a bridge are important. According to the concrete bridges in Hong Kong, a System of Structural Health Monitoring and Evaluation for Concrete Bridges is developed. The system can realize real-time data acquisition and transmission from varies types of sensors. The signals analysis, damage detection and state evaluation can also be operated. The Structural Health Monitoring And Evaluation System for Concrete Bridges (SHMESCB) is applied in one continuous girder bridge and one simply supported girder.
